1) Kyle Fletcher vs Komander (AEW Collision, 11/2/2024)

Perfect showcase for both dudes...Fletcher really vibing as a full on heel; giving Randy Orton arrogance and in ring smoothness, but much more dynamic...just bullying Komander with boots to face, showing off his power...just naturally unlikeable face and leaning into it. Komander fights from underneath, getting the crowd behind me before unleashing those crazy highspots: spanish fly, posion-rana on the floor, the rope walk flip...this is best showing the luchador has had for awhile...crowd really into it before Fletcher finishes with a effortless brain buster. PPV quality match Rating: Roast

2) Volodar Jr vs Averno (CMLL Martes De Arena Mexico 11/8/2024)

Two pros giving everyone a show on Tuesday night...Averno starts off hot, beating Volodar down before the bell and picking up first fall with underhook facebuster.. Averno keeps heeling it up to crowd-classic villian style just missing a mustache twirl, railroad tracks, and lady in ropes...Volador sneaks the second fall countering a power bomb into sunset flip bomb...Third round..both guys are panting hard, really showing out tonight!...Averno gives a sweeps out Volodar legs on the apron for a nasty bump..intense back and forth from here out, trading near falls...another face buster by Averno, but this time from tope turnbuckle...Volodar kicks out and meets Averno at top rope for spanish fly finish. Damn good action Rating: Rock

3: Torneo Alas De Mitclantecuhtli Match ( Big Lucha 11/2/2024)

10 man royal/eliminator. Nothing special here to start, but as it went on it was clear the stars were Cometa Maya and Los Hermanos de La Jungla (Aero and Fight Panther.) Cometa was the eventual winner and rightly due as his Delta Force trio with Radioactivo and Morfosis have been the most consistent performers in Big Lucha(See their match last month against a SB Kento-led Dragongate team)...The Panther Bros were a sweet surprise to me...Fight is solid, but Aero got my eyes glued on him. High flying, fast moving and creative... like less polished Rey Fenix....lots of high spots in the finish, but two real highlights. First, we had four of the competitors locked in a attempted group suplex, Aero and Helios jumps on their back then gives Helios a fisherman suplex, dropping him on everyone. Later when it came down Cometa and Fight, Cometa was the torture rack position on Fight's shoulders, then Aero landed a flying knee drop on Cometa's chest from the top rope, and then rolled Cometa off his brother's shoulders so he could deliver a second gut buster on the way down. Cometa was no slouch either, had a beautiful second rope tope to even the odds. Hopefully this sets up Los Hermanos de La Jungla vs Delta Force match in the near future: Rating: Rocks

4:Yuma Aoyagi (c) vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr. (AJPW 11/04/2024)

What a drag—if this was a standard title defense and Aoyagi retained, it would simply be forgettable. However, it's hard to believe a surprise title change could be so lifeless and inert. Smith is...fine. Nice build, a pro, good power move set, but a guy couldn't move the needle with a sewing machine. Nothing here proves that wrong--it was worked liked an exhibition match-no one working nasty, no heel, not even heat. Just ho-hum with Smith doing goofy leg selling. Aoyagi tried to ratchet things up toward the end, but this match had no intensity, no feeling to it at all. I can't imagine this will be a long reign for Smith, and I am curious who takes it off him. Does All-Japan go back to Kento after a year of him failing in the title matches? Or is one these young stars he has helped put over (Please not Ayabe).? Rating: Rent

5) Mikey Montgomery vs Billy Dixon ( Enjoy Wrestling 11/14/2024)

Classic big bad vs plucky underdog... Billy Dixon playing the role of the beefy enforcer for Enjoy Champ Sonny Kiss and the obstacle in the way of Montgomery's opportunity for the title. Montgomery has real potential for a great babyface. He is undersized ( moreso in weight, than height) and has that just keep fighting energy. Crowd in Pittsburgh was very much behind him, rallying him while Dixon was throwing him around. There was some nice handcuff spots, Montgomery got in some good knee strikes. All his effort was for nought, as Montgomery failed in the end. Still it felt like this was part 1 of a longer build, and the kid has got something.Rating: Roar
